1985 Lamborghini Jalpa P350.

3, 5 8 Cylinders delivering 250 HP, which was quite something at that time. The body reminds me something between the Lotus Esprit and the Maserati Merak. I like it a lot! The interior is superb, despite the dashboard which is probably from its era, a bit

Maserati Merak. Something a bit different.

For me, the most desirable and sensuous Maserati is the Ghibli, even more than the 3500 GT, in my opinion. But I can't deny some charm to the Merak, outside and inside. Credit Classic Car: When cars were cars... Best, Nicolas

Thank you, Georges, great read; made me nostalgic. You also confirmed my point...

Rushing out for a 630a drive group meet up, will try to revisit this in more detail later, but in brief - 1. Yes, earlier drivetrain (engine and transmission) lubrication sharing was not ideal. Not really a practical problem during most normal driving, bu

"...these cars are mechanically unreliable and absolute rustbuckets" Hi Georges, How are Miuras mechanically unreliable, vis a vis other highly tuned high strung high performance cars pf the period? Let's start out with baselines, I am neither agreeing no

Georges, you dont need to apologize for holding different opinions "from the majority"

Hi, Georges, As you know, all opinions and points of view are welcome here, so long as they are respectfully presented. But we are very alert to crusades, both pro and con, perpetuation of myths, especially if the reality is known here but not so widely k

Don't get me wrong I do like some italian cars such as the 365 gtb4, the 512BB, the maserati ghibli, the maserati merak and of course the bizzarini 5300 which were some of the finest italian cars of the era

ever made. BMW,I know a friend of my uncle who had a 3.0 CSL for a period of 10 years, he always complained of poor handling of the car in wet and conditions but also the engine needing an extra fine tuning every 6 months due to carburettors but also one

Some pictures of the Citroen SM.

A car which was born in 1970, for a short 5 years life, and a very short production of a bit less of 13 000 examples. Starting with a 2, 7 engine, it ended with a 3 liters. From 170 to 190 HP all along these 5 years. The car was quite unique with its looo

Porsche: when did they start to move to the "high end"?

Porsche was always competitive in motorsports. They were also always popular among sports car enthusiasts. In the early days, there was much technology and parts sharing with VW and in the US, distribution was, in the 1970's and some of the 1980's, almost

Quick looks - 2013 Porsche 991 Carrera S

Ok, so here's the thing - I've never been a Porsche fan, though I have always respected them intellectually. 1976 Porsche Turbo? When the super car world had the Countach and the Boxer? The now legendary and highly coveted 1973 2.7 RS? Maserati Khamsin an
